Through 2020 and 2021 I worked on a project supported by Creative Scotland. As the effects of the pandemic left me with a shortage of fleece I set out to create a piece of art that was made purely from Arran resources. I sourced sheep fleece from Bellevue Farm and Creagraineach Farm and Alpaca fleece from Bellevue Farm & Arran Alpacas. I processed the fleece (washing and carding it in my studio) and dyed the fleece using plants grown on Arran: plants grown by producers, allotment holders, by myself in my garden and foraged plants from the fields and hedgerows and even the Castle garden.

The result is a felt picture : one of Arran's iconic views of Goatfell from the castle grounds with 2 standing stones in the foreground. It is a felt picture of Arran, Made on Arran entirely from Arran produce: 'Pure Arran'!
